Why we’re getting behind Nathaniel Reilly-O’Donnell and LONDON 2012

Following the appointment of BMW Group as the Official Automotive Partner of the 2012 Games, BMW is now actively supporting British athletes, such as Ellie Simmonds and Louis Smith, via the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. Meanwhile, in line with the Performance Team initiative, BMW dealers like us will be working with local athletes, supporting their endeavours to qualify for Team GB or ParalympicsGB.
Nathaniel trains locally, at the University of London Boat Club on Hartington Road, Chiswick. Ealing born, Nathaniel has been rowing since the age of 12 and at just 23 has already won gold medals at the Junior World Championships, Youth Olympics, several U23 World Championship and Senior World Cup medals. His most recent achievement was winning a silver medal in the Men's Eight at the 2011 World Rowing Championships.
“We’re really grateful to Berry Chiswick and BMW for their support,” said Nathaniel. “It’s tough trying to qualify for an Olympic place and it’s a big help knowing that they are behind us, helping to raise funds and awareness. It’s also fantastic having a brand new BMW 320d Sport from now until the end of the 2012 Games. There’s a lot of travelling to heats, competitions and promotional events so it’s great being able to arrive there in style.”
